The Transitions Academy is designed to assist colleges and partnerships working on developing Bridge and ICAPS (Integrated Career and Academic Preparation System) programs by increasing awareness of the expanding partnership between Adult Education and Career and Technical Education as it relates to the ICAPS model, Accelerating Opportunity, Illinois Bridge programs, and Illinois Programs of Study. Contextualized Manufacturing Curriculum - Bill Kuban



Thanks to Bill Kuban of Prairie State College for creating new materials and sharing them at the IACEA conference last week. Bill is an experienced Adult Education and CTE instructor who created supplemental lessons for the contextualized manufacturing curriculum in the areas of math, reading, writing, social studies and science. These lessons are aligned with Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), Certified Production Technician (CPT) and their Safety Course. Another resource constructed by Bill are pre- and post-assessments for use with adult education students interested in pursuing MSSC certification.
