Providing Support Services at a Distance for Career Navigators

April 16, 2020 @ 12:30 PM

Support services are an important mechanism for sustainability of distance education. Learners in distance education need more support than in traditional classroom instruction. Some of the most important reasons for this are the fact that learners are physically separated from each other, from their instructors and from those who assist them with support services. The most important role of the career navigator at this time is to stay connected to students in order to assess the supports they need. During this webinar, we will discuss how to support students in our current climate; socially, emotionally, and share resources to support students through a wide range of barriers; including technology, financial, physical and emotional, and employment.
